Playing Adare Manor: The Complete Dossier

The Ryder Cup course, as a guest rather than a spectator. What it costs, when you can get on, how to arrive, and the three links that make it a week.

The briefing

Adare in one minute

Adare is not an old Irish links and should not be played as one. Tom Fazio rebuilt the course in 2016 and 2017 beside the River Maigue: par 72, 7,509 yards from the back, fourteen elevated greens, bentgrass with SubAir beneath every one. The published way on is as a resident guest. The 2027 Ryder Cup makes that harder for one month and more wanted for every other.

How to get on
Stay at the Manor. The 2026 rate card is for resident guests.
What it costs
€550 green fee and a €120 mandatory caddie, per golfer, 2026.
When
26 May to 18 October 2026. Closed Mondays except bank holidays.
Not in
September 2027. The hotel takes no bookings all month.
Pair with
Lahinch, Ballybunion and Waterville.

Access and booking windows

The order that works

  1. Ballybunion first. Its visitor sheet runs about twelve months ahead and the mid-May to mid-June mornings go first.
  2. Lahinch second. Same rolling twelve-month calendar. Tuesday to Thursday mornings in June or September.
  3. Adare as a resident. Book the room and the tee time together, directly with the estate, and keep the email. Avoid a Monday.
  4. Waterville last. By phone or form, full payment, non-refundable, so it clears only once everything else holds.

Do not let any operator turn an unpublished rate or calendar into certainty. If a promise matters, get it in writing from the venue.

Arriving by air

Helicopter transfers

Adare Manor has a private landing area 7.5 nautical miles from Shannon Airport, inside the Shannon control zone. Every arrival needs prior permission from the estate's security team, and there is a set route in and out because the house sits in a noise-sensitive area.

One Irish charter operator publishes indicative flight times of about 50 minutes from Dublin to Adare and 40 minutes from Shannon to Waterville. Those are the operator's estimates, not schedules, and charter prices are NOT PUBLISHED.

Ryder Cup week runs its own heliport. Fresh Air, the event's appointed heliport operator, says landing slots open to helicopter operators from 1 April 2027. Your charter books that slot, not you.

€450 for the 2026 season (27 April to 16 October). At least one caddie per group is required; €100 single bag, €160 double, €40 per golfer forecaddie with a minimum of three. The visitor sheet runs roughly twelve months ahead.

The links contrast to Adare's parkland. Play it first, from a Clare base, while the legs are fresh.

Rolling visitor calendar about twelve months out. Fees and caddie rates are NOT PUBLISHED here: the club site was unreachable at our last check, so confirm all three figures in writing before any deposit.

The round to book first. Adare is the natural base, and its concierge is one of the desks we have seen lift a returned slot for guests already in the room.
