The Titanic Quarter at blue hour

Belfast's docks, the half-hour the building lights up.

As twilight settles across Belfast, the Titanic Belfast building begins its daily transformation. We find the blue hour, that fleeting forty-minute period when the sky reflects the structure’s steel skin, the most powerful time to visit. The slipway sits still, the water’s surface smooth, reflecting the dimming light.

Walk past the SS Nomadic, inspecting its polished hull, then proceed to the HMS Caroline. Afterwards, consider taking the lift to the top of the Hilton. From that vantage, Belfast spreads out as a panorama of electric lights, a compelling counterpoint to the quiet docks below.

For us, this interlude presents Belfast at its most cinematic.
