Mount Juliet for a long weekend

When you want golf, food and a fire, on the same estate.

When we seek a swift retreat from Dublin, Mount Juliet Estate reliably answers our call. We depart the city on Friday morning, arriving for lunch in the manor house before a long walk across the grounds until tea. This offers a tranquil re-entry to the countryside and a welcome shift in the day's cadence.

A distinct rhythm governs the estate, subtly encouraging a slower tempo. Saturday evenings often mean dinner at the Lady Helen, and Sunday might feature a round of golf or simply further repose. The estate easily accommodates either inclination, inviting us to simply ease into the experience.

Two nights provide a pleasant pause, though we find three truly permit a full recalibration. Especially when our dog joins us, that additional day makes all the difference for settling in.
