How To Book A Tee Time At Trump Doonbeg

Doonbeg prices its course by calendar band rather than a flat visitor rate, from 250 euro in the shoulder months up to 525 euro on a June to September weekend. Booking runs through the resort itself rather than a third party tee sheet. Here is what Trump International Golf Links and Hotel Ireland has published, and what to confirm before you pay.

Doonbeg books differently from most of the links clubs further south in Clare and Kerry. There is no members' club deposit structure and no third party visitor tee sheet. It is a resort course, and the resort publishes its own seasonal rate card directly on its site, split by month and by midweek versus weekend play, alongside its own caddie fees. The published bands move a great deal across the year, from 250 euro in the quiet months to 525 euro on a June to September weekend, and the gap between those figures is the single most useful fact for anyone whose travel dates are flexible. This guide sets out exactly what the resort prints, and flags the one thing it does not: a published cancellation or deposit policy for golf bookings on its public pages, which means you should confirm those terms directly with the resort's golf team when you book.

The Published Course Rates, Month By Month

The resort's own golf course rates page sets out a seasonal table rather than a single visitor fee. As published, the bands run: 1 February to 16 March, midweek and weekend both 250 euro; 17 March to 30 April, midweek and weekend both 250 euro; 1 to 31 May, midweek 285 euro and weekend 395 euro; 1 June to 30 September, midweek 425 euro and weekend 525 euro; 1 to 12 October, midweek 285 euro and weekend 325 euro; 13 to 31 October, midweek and weekend both 250 euro; and 1 November to 31 December, midweek and weekend both 250 euro.

Read that table as a planning tool before you fix your dates. A midweek round in June costs 425 euro. The same round on a weekend in the same month costs 525 euro, a 100 euro jump for the same course and the same conditions. A group with any flexibility at all should default to a midweek booking in peak season, and a group chasing value should look hard at the shoulder windows either side of the main summer run, where the rate drops by roughly 150 to 275 euro per golfer against the summer weekend figure.

The resort's page does not label these bands by year, and we would treat them as the current published rate rather than assume they repeat unchanged for every future season. Confirm the figure for your own dates with the resort's golf team or through its own booking channel before you commit a card to the trip.

Caddie Fees, As Published

The resort publishes caddie fees directly on the same page. A walking caddie is 75 euro per bag for a double, or 95 euro for a single bag, and a forecaddie is 30 euro per person with a minimum of three people. Gratuities or tips are paid at the golfer's own discretion, on top of those figures.

Doonbeg's routing, out and back through the dunes along Doughmore Bay, rewards local knowledge of which way the wind is working on a given morning. We would book a caddie rather than go without on a first visit, particularly for the five par threes, where the right club depends more on the wind than on the yardage on the card.

How Booking Actually Works Here

Doonbeg does not run a public, third party visitor tee sheet the way Ballyliffin or Carne do. Tee times are arranged directly with the resort, through its golf shop or its reservations channel, which the resort's own golf page lists as reachable by email at doonbeg.golfshop@trumphotels.com or by phone at +353 65 905 5601. If you are staying at the resort, your tee time is typically arranged as part of the room booking process. If you are visiting for the day without staying, contact the golf shop directly to check availability and to confirm the current rate for your dates.

The resort's public pages do not publish a specific deposit amount or a cancellation and refund policy for golf bookings the way the links clubs further south do. That is a genuine gap rather than an oversight on our part, and it means you should ask the golf shop directly, at the time you book, what deposit is required and what the cancellation terms are for your dates. Get the answer in writing before you pay, the same habit we would recommend at any club, and confirm it again a week or two before you travel.

Lessons And The Range

The resort's golf academy offers private and group lessons throughout the year, and its driving range holds 20 bays with targets, over 300 yards long with hitting areas on either side to suit the wind direction, plus six target greens at varying distances. If your group is flying straight in from the United States, book a lesson or a range session for the afternoon you land rather than going straight to the first tee the next morning.

The Booking Sequence We Would Follow

Decide your season first, because the rate swings by as much as 275 euro a round between the quiet months and a June to September weekend. If your dates are flexible, take a midweek round in the main season rather than a weekend, or look at the shoulder bands either side of summer for the best value against the same course.

Contact the resort's golf shop directly, by phone or email, to check availability and confirm the current rate and deposit requirement for your dates, since none of that is published as a standing policy on the resort's site. Book the caddie in the same conversation if you want one, and ask about a lesson or range time for your arrival day if you are flying in from the United States.

Give the round its own morning rather than rushing it, and pair it with Lahinch about thirty minutes up the coast for the following day. Two mornings, one on each course, with the Cliffs of Moher on the afternoon between them, is the rhythm we build a Clare golf week around.
