We do not walk at Powerscourt to see the gardens. We walk at Powerscourt to be hungry for dinner.
There is a particular Wicklow evening light, between six and seven in autumn, that we have never seen anywhere else, and certainly not in the photographs people take of it.
Be back inside by quarter past seven. Order the lamb.
