How To Book A Tee Time At Druids Glen Golf Resort

Druids Glen Golf Resort does not publish green fees, caddie rates or handicap limits online. Visitor tee times run through the resort's own BRS Golf tee sheet, and that is where the current numbers live, not on this page and not on ours.

A note from Deborah. Read her editorial perspective

Druids Glen is one of the more straightforward courses to reach near Dublin and one of the least forthcoming, on its own website, about what a visitor round actually costs. There is no published green fee for either Druids Glen or Druids Heath, no published caddie list or rate, and no stated handicap limit for visitors. What the resort does provide is a direct route to book, through its own tee sheet on the BRS Golf platform, and a clear description of the two courses themselves. This guide tells you how that booking works, what you can confirm before you travel, and what you will only learn by asking the resort directly. We are a trip planning guide, not a booking agent, and we do not take reservations at Druids Glen or anywhere else. Every step below happens on the resort's own systems.

What The Resort Publishes, And What It Does Not

The resort's course pages are detailed on the golf itself. Druids Glen is described as a par 72 course at 7,222 yards from the back tees, designed by Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock and rebuilt to USGA standards, with a hole by hole breakdown of par and yardage for every hole. Druids Heath is confirmed as a second, separate eighteen hole course on the property, though the resort does not publish an overall par or yardage total for it the way it does for Druids Glen.

What is missing from both course pages, and from the rest of the site we reviewed, is any published green fee, seasonal rate card, caddie list or caddie fee, or stated handicap requirement for visitors. Some Irish resort courses print all of this on a dedicated rates page. Druids Glen does not, at least not as of our October 2026 review, which means the live tee sheet itself is the only reliable source for current pricing at the moment you book.

We would rather tell you plainly that a number is not published than guess at one that might be wrong by the time you travel. Golf rates at resort courses near Dublin move with the season and with demand, and a figure quoted on a third-party site is often out of date within a year.

How The Booking System Works

Visitor tee times at Druids Glen run through the resort's account on the BRS Golf platform, the same booking software used by many Irish clubs. You create or log into an account on that system to see live availability and to hold a tee time. This is not a phone negotiation or an email back and forth. It is a live sheet, the same way Tralee and several other clubs we cover run their visitor booking.

Because the system is live, the practical advice is the same as for any popular course near a capital city. Open the booking page as early as the resort allows for your travel dates, and take the morning slot if your group wants to avoid an afternoon that runs long on a course built around water, where a slow group ahead can cost you real time.

If the online system does not show the course, the date, or the rate you need, contact the resort directly rather than guessing. A property with two courses on one site occasionally needs a phone call or email to sort out which course a visitor booking applies to, particularly for Druids Heath, where the resort's own marketing leans more heavily on Druids Glen.

Green Fees: Ask Before You Travel

We are not going to print a green fee for Druids Glen or Druids Heath here, because the resort does not publish one and any number we found elsewhere online was either outdated or attributed to a reseller rather than the resort itself. The honest advice for an American group planning a budget is to request current rates directly from the resort, ideally in the same message where you confirm your tee time, and to ask whether the rate differs between Druids Glen and Druids Heath.

If your group is planning two rounds on the property, across Druids Glen and Druids Heath, ask about any package or combined rate at the same time. Some resorts with two courses on one site offer a discount for playing both within a stay, and the only way to know is to ask the resort directly, since it is not advertised on the website we reviewed.

Caddies And Handicap Limits: Not Published

The resort does not list caddies, caddie fees or a caddie booking process on its website, and it does not state a handicap limit for visiting golfers. That does not mean neither exists. It means the information is not published, and the only way to confirm either detail is to ask the resort directly when you book your tee time.

If a caddie matters to your round, ask as early as possible, since caddie availability at resort courses near a capital city tends to be tighter than at remote links courses, and a last-minute request on the morning of play is less likely to succeed than one made weeks ahead.

If your handicap record matters to your travel plans elsewhere in Ireland, such as at a stricter members club later in your trip, bring it with you regardless of what Druids Glen asks for, since other clubs on an itinerary may apply their own limits even where Druids Glen does not publish one.

Timing Your Round Around Dublin

Druids Glen sits roughly forty-five minutes from Dublin Airport, which makes it a realistic choice for the first or last golf day of an Ireland trip built around Dublin. We still recommend a night's sleep before the round rather than playing straight off an overnight flight, since this is a long, water-laden course that asks for a clear head.

Morning tee times are worth prioritising if the booking system gives you a choice, both because the course can play long and because an early start leaves the rest of the day free for Powerscourt Gardens or the Wicklow Mountains, both close by, if you want a non-golf activity to fill the afternoon.

Building A Wicklow Golf Day Around The Booking

Once your tee time is confirmed on the resort's system, build the rest of the day around it rather than the other way around. Allow extra time on the course itself, since a 7,222 yard parkland round with water hazards on repeated holes rarely plays in under four and a half hours for a visiting group, even when the pace ahead of you is reasonable.

If you are staying in Dublin rather than in Wicklow itself, build in the drive time on both ends, and do not schedule anything immediately after the round that depends on an exact finishing time, since weather and pace of play on an inland parkland course can shift the afternoon more than a links round sometimes does.

What We Would Confirm Before You Go

In order: confirm the tee time itself on the resort's BRS Golf system, ask directly for the current green fee for your travel dates and whether it differs by course, ask whether a caddie can be arranged if you want one, and ask whether there is a package rate if you intend to play both Druids Glen and Druids Heath on the same trip.

None of those four answers are on the resort's website as of this review, and we would rather send you to ask the resort once than have you rely on a number that someone else printed and the club has since changed. The course itself, by contrast, is well documented, and the par 72, 7,222 yard card at Druids Glen is one you can plan your game around with confidence before you ever pick up the phone.
