Where to stay in County Wicklow

The garden county. Close enough to Dublin to be a mistake to skip.

6 reviewed houses

Wicklow is the first and last night of a good Ireland trip. Forty minutes from the airport, and the landscape starts immediately. The stays here are estates rather than hotels, which is the point.

Glendalough, inland and higher, empties after the day trippers leave. Stay one night, walk the upper lake before nine, and the valley is effectively yours.
