A slow week along Kerry, West Cork and Connemara. The places we drive to ourselves when the city has been loud. Set in print, for the few who plan early.

Volume I was the archive. Eight finished editions, the routes we send to friends from the States, set carefully in print. Volume II is the next quiet chapter.
We're writing it now. A week, taken slowly, along the parts of the coast that get past most American itineraries. A Kerry opening with no Ring of Kerry day. Two nights in West Cork because one is a waste. Connemara as a closing movement, not a stop.
It will be sent the morning it ships. To readers who reserved it first, and to no one else.
What's inside
- Day 1, 2Kenmare, slowly. Sheen Falls or Park Hotel, the fire lit by six. The walk we'd take before dinner.
- Day 3The drive south through Glengarriff and Healy Pass. The lunch stop we'd never skip.
- Day 4, 5West Cork. Two nights at Inchydoney or a Schull guesthouse. The dinners worth the small roads.
- Day 6, 7North to Connemara. Ballynahinch, two final nights. The morning walk that closes the trip.
"We wrote it for the trip you take when you've already done the tour. The week that asks nothing of you except the willingness to stop."
