Sin É
The Atmosphere
“Cork's music bar on Coburg Street. No ceremony, no set list, and a proper back wall of whiskey.”
Sin É means 'that's it', which is roughly the attitude of the place. It is a long narrow room on Coburg Street with music most nights, sometimes announced and sometimes not, played by whoever has come in with an instrument. The whiskey list is better than the room's plainness suggests, and the crowd is local. Sunday afternoons are the session most worth planning around, and it is a ten-minute walk from the city centre hotels.

Rooms Worth Requesting
What it actually feels like.
Sunday afternoon is the session to aim for. Ask what pot still they have open; the back shelf is deeper than it looks.

Why we recommend it
A space that justifies the journey.
Music that happens rather than music that is scheduled. Cork's best drinking room for anybody who wants an evening they did not book.
