The Stag's Head after six

Off Dame Street, the late Victorian room with the original mirrors.

Collected by Deborah. Read her editorial perspective

After six, we often slip into The Stag's Head. Off Dame Street, beyond the small mosaic on the pavement and down the lane, we push open the door to this late Victorian room. This is our retreat when the day unravels, marking a needed shift in the afternoon's rhythm.

The Stag's Head after six

Dingle

The bar still retains its original construction, and the mirrors reflect decades of murmuring conversations and quiet reflection. We regularly aim for the snug, a small, secluded haven, though it is usually occupied already. Our preference is for a private moment, if obtainable.

Order a single Guinness here, then let the initial ten minutes pass in silence.
