The town runs on the wave: three surf schools, two board shops, and wetsuit rentals on nearly every corner. Even if you do not surf, watching the lineup from the promenade, coffee in hand, provides an engaging spectacle. We have spent an hour or more there, observing the rhythmic movement with the sets.
We suggest booking morning lessons, as the wind typically goes onshore by midday. While Lahinch quiets early, consider dinner in Ennistymon or Doolin for your evening.
